Celebrating International Women's Day, Every Day

March 8 is International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. And, the whole month of March is Women’s History Month. But even better? Here at Lyons Creative, every day, every month, and every year, we’re proud to celebrate the myriad contributions of women in business and beyond.

We’re proud to be a woman-founded, woman-owned, and woman-run business. Among our ranks are smart, talented, and driven women with a beautifully diverse set of backgrounds, beliefs, and stories. It’s one of the many things that make sitting down to work so fulfilling each day. 

So while we believe every day is International Women’s Day, I’d like to pause for a moment and reflect on the ways that we aim to honor each other’s contributions, support other women, and mentor the next generation of women leaders.

Showcasing the talents of our team members

We’re lucky to work with incredibly talented women, from designers and developers to copywriters and project managers. We take every opportunity to showcase their work, whether that’s providing venues to collaborate with clients directly, featuring their bios and work on our website, or giving public kudos and shout-outs.

Encouraging and supporting other women in our industry

It’s always the right time to applaud a job well done, pay a compliment, or make a connection between talented individuals. When we see the opportunity to celebrate another woman doing great work, we shout from the rooftops.

Seeking out collaboration with strong female leaders

We learn so much from our clients and partners. We’re honored to work with strong women leaders across our clients, partners, and vendors, and we seek out every chance to work with women-led businesses of all types.

Mentoring future women business owners

Running your own business is empowering, yet the road to successful business ownership isn’t without speed bumps. Whenever we’re asked for advice on starting a business, we take the time to answer questions, provide guidance, and connect entrepreneurs with helpful resources.

Donating to causes close to our hearts

Giving back is a core value at Lyons Creative. We’re honored to support a wide range of nonprofit organizations doing important work in our communities and around the world, with both financial gifts and in purchasing client gifts.

As we celebrate today, this month, and beyond, let’s do so with the intention of supporting and inspiring other women. As Serena Williams said, “Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.”
